Tapped in junior year of high school and elected chapter president senior year.

Helped organize NHS service projects throughout the year and started a school-wide recycling initiative.

 

Troy Christian Chapel Band                                                                             2011-2014

Co-led and helped produce junior and senior high school’s chapel worship band. This included choosing setlists, scheduling band members, and coordinating before-school rehearsals, as well as regular meetings with the administrator.

Hiring Committees                                                                                                    2017

Student representative on hiring committees searching for a University Honors Program advisor, a Supplemental Instructors supervisor, and Peer Tutoring graduate assistant. Participated in interviews and candidate evaluations.

Student Advisory Committee on the University Budget                               2016-2017

Religious Organizations chair for SACUB, a committee which represents the general student body in the University budgeting process. SACUB makes recommendations to the University about the allocation of funds that come directly from fees included in student tuition.

Lead & Grow Grant                                                                                                    2015

Student representative on the Lead & Grow Grant committee through the Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) office. This committee distributed over $14,000 in blocks up to $500 to students who submitted experience proposals in University Community, Intellectual Growth/Learning, Professional Growth, and Global Engagement. From 102 applications, 73 students were offered awards averaging $193.

Level 2 certified College Reading & Learning Association Peer Tutor for physics and math classes through the University of Cincinnati's free student tutoring services. In fall 2016 was promoted to mentor for new tutors.

 

Boston Stoker Coffee Company                                                                       2012-2015

Interacted with customers, handled money & deposits, made specialty coffee drinks, and sold products. 

 

Quality Custom Carpentry                                                                               2009-2013

Assisted the business manager with general office maintenance, including data entry, filing and paperwork organization, bank account reconciliation, and website building.

Worked with the administrative assistant to maintain the office, including filing system reorganization, data entry, and bank account maintenance.

SULI at SLAC Intern                                                                                     Summer 2017

Worked under Tom Abel as part of the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology. ​Created a Python program to simulate time dependence of quantum mechanical systems and used this framework to model a time-evolving Bose-Einstein Condensate with cosmological parameters.

WISE Research Participant                                                                        Summer 2016

Participant in a Research Opportunity for Undergraduate Women through Women in Science and Engineering. Under the supervision of Professor Rohana Wijewardhana studied the properties of Bose-Einstein Condensates comprised of axions as candidates for dark matter.

 

Urban Plunge Intern                                                                                  Summer 2015

Coordinated service projects, supervised students, and facilitated debrief discussions, and volunteered alonside students at various non-profit organizations in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Students were grades 5-12, in groups of 20 for three consecutive weeks.
